Three Friars Celebrate Their Profession of Temporary Vows
On July 21st, three Novices, Friar Pedro Lopez, Friar Calin Vidaurri, and Friar Alberto Bravo made their Profession of Temporary Vows at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in El Paso, TX. The Minister Provincial, Father Jim Kent and Southwest Vocation Director, Father Andy Martinez celebrated the Mass.
During the Mass each Novice professed their vows individually and made the commitment on the altar. Their fraternal brothers then gave them their new cords with the three knots, which represent the vow of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
Friars and the Novices' family all joined in to support and to celebrate the Novices. We ask that you continue to pray for them. Read more about these vows and their meaning here: Vows in Community
